About Dr. Hopkins

Dr. Hopkins grew up in College Park, Maryland and attended the University of Maryland, before completing dental school. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1980. Upon graduating, Dr. Hopkins did an elective one year residency with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. From there, she moved to Oklahoma City where she served on staff with the Veterans Administration Medical Center and on the faculty of the University of Oklahoma Dental School for five years.

In 1986, she relocated to Tacoma, Washington and entered private practice. After three years in private practice and dealing with her own personal health issues, she adopted a biologically integrated approach to dentistry. The philosophy is now to provide the highest quality of cosmetic dental care that will enhance the health and well being of each person that comes to her practice. Dr. Hopkins has successfully combined the science and the art of homeopathy, nutrition, and functional cosmetic dentistry into her practice to treat many dental problems with sometimes astounding results.

Dr. Hopkins is a member of the Holistic Dental Association, the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the Cranial Academy, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also a charter member of the International Academy of Mercury Free Dentists.  Both Dr. Hopkins and her staff have trained at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, which uniquely qualifies her office to provide patients with treatment ranging from simple tooth whitening to full mouth restorative care.  Dr. Hopkins is an Associate Fellow with the World Clinical Laser Institute and is a certified doctor with Invisalign.  Her credentials allow her to offer her patients the best dental technology offers today.

Dr. Hopkins is a speaker and has written several articles on the subject of biological dentistry.  She is also a supporter of "Best Management Practices" for handling hazardous dental office waste.  She and her staff have earned the 5-star rating with Envirostars for their efforts to protect the environment.

Her office offers general dentistry for adults and children, cosmetic mercury free restorations, one hour tooth whitening, cosmetic restorations to straighten teeth, removable dentures, non-surgical treatments for gum disease, treatments for chronic facial pain, careful oral surgery, competent diagnosis and treatment of osteocavitations of the jaw bone, tooth extractions and alternative solutions to dental problems.
